The President's military budget was just leaked... on a spreadsheet.

Even the U.S. federal government is not immune to an End-User Computing related data breach. As reported by The Washington Examiner, “A top defense analyst said Friday that a leaked document allegedly showing President Trump's 2018 defense budget appears to be authentic.”

This “extraordinary dump of budget data” was all contained within a spreadsheet, which presumably had few, if any controls. While you may not worry about the leakage of military secrets, your organization probably does have sensitive data contained on spreadsheets that you would prefer not become public. In that case, you should look into implementing some basic spreadsheet controls.
